Book Signing & Meet-n-Greet

This one promises to be one for the history books! There will be a mass book signing on Thursday evening from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm in the Grand Ballroom, with a special area for Guests of Honor. This event will be open to the public and will be advertised heavily in New York newspapers, local bookstores, and on the Internet.

Best of all, for the first time, author members will be permitted to sell books – as long as they agree to donate 10% of proceeds back to HWA Scholarship Fund and as long as they agree to sign books not purchased at the event that fans may bring in with them.

Meet fans and sell enough books to recoup convention costs! If you are interested in signing up for a spot in the Grand Ballroom for this event, email chairperson@stokerweekend2011.org.

Author Avenue

Stoker Weekend 2001 will also boast a dedicated area for individual author signings and book launches. For individual author signings, bookings will include two authors per one hour time period, or one group signing in the case of anthologies.

This area will also be used for book launches, with options available for publishers who wish to cater their event.

Again, books may be sold at these signings and launches, if participants agree to a 10% donation of sales to the Scholarship Fund.

These individual signings and book launches will be held in the Hempstead Room, which accommodates between 40-50 people at any given time. If you are interested in reserving a slot for either an individual book signing or a book launch, please email chairperson@stokerweekend2011.org.

This event will be for first-time convention attendees and new HWA members only who will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with the HWA's Officers and Board Members and our Guests of Honor.
